Gloria is president/owner of Gloria Green Entertainment, LLC, a faith-based entertainment company offering consulting and public relations services, and a Lecturer in the Recording Industry department at Middle Tennessee State University, where she teaches Music Publicity, Music Survey, and Artist Management.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Gloria interned in their Sports Information Office, and worked part-time as an assistant to the press secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s office, while pursuing her Masters in Mass Communication.
After a short stint as a Writer with the SC Forestry Commission, Gloria became the Public Information Officer for the SC State Parks Services (a division of the Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism), where she was responsible for the promotion of 48 state parks, including planning special events for park openings and golf tournaments, garnering publicity for the parks’ education and nature programs, and promoting park facility use. Gloria established relationships with travel and outdoor writers, serviced press releases, and pitched feature story ideas to the media. Additionally, she booked park rangers and naturalists on local and regional radio and TV programs, and wrote and recorded Public Service Announcements for statewide distribution.
In 1995, Gloria moved to Nashville to accept a full-time position in the Christian/Gospel music department at the world-renowned William Morris Agency. As an agent at WMA, Gloria negotiated concert bookings for a diverse roster of faith-based artists including Audio Adrenaline, Cece Winans, Fireflight, Israel Houghton, Jaci Velasquez, Joy Williams, Kirk Franklin, Point of Grace, Salvador, Switchfoot, Take 6, Trin-i-tee 5:7, and others. Gloria also worked with comedians Brad Stine, Chonda Pierce, John Morgan, and Thor Ramsey, and booked specialty tours including the Joy to the World Christmas tour, Thou Shalt Laugh comedy tour, and To Write Love on Her Arms college tour.
After the March, 2009 launch of her company, Gloria signed three-time Olympic gold medalist and WNBA All-Star Tamika Catchings to her PR roster, focusing primarily on the faith-based community. Gloria also worked with Women’s Author/Speaker Stephanie Huffman, Christian worship leader Jared Anderson, Urban Gospel Latin artist Michelle Bonilla, and Christian Latin Singer/Speaker Emille Victoria, who she co-founded the P.I.N.K. girl’s conference.
Gloria is a member of the Women in Music Business (WMBA) and sits on the Board of Directors for the Gospel Music Association Foundation (GMAF) and Brent Gambrell Ministries (BGM) where she also helps to head the nonprofit organization’s PR and Marketing efforts.
Gloria is single, lives in Nashville, TN, and is the proud Auntie to 17 nieces and nephews. She is currently working on an Introduction to Music Publicity college textbook, and developing material for Catching Raindrops in Water Buckets: the book and speaker’s tour.
